Our Statement of Philosophy

The Episcopal Day School of the Church of the Good Samaritan, Paoli, Pennsylvania, is a state-licensed private academic pre-school and Kindergarten.  The school provides an early childhood setting in which young children are loved and nurtured as children of God.  The school is governed by a board which includes the Rector of the parish, the Director of the Day School and representatives of the Vestry, parish, parents, staff and community. All teachers (of three-year-olds and up) hold valid Pennsylvania certification in early childhood education. Our Two-Year-Old and Toddler classes fall under our Religious Institution license and serve as feeder programs for the preschool classes. Each class is supervised by a Lead Teacher and an Assistant Teacher.  The school offers a developmentally appropriate classroom curriculum enhanced and supported by music, movement and library classes.
